Safety skidding - a security feature that immediately shuts down the outboard engine or water scooter in an emergency (eg. in case of falling overboard).
The skid steer should be put on the ignition cut-off device (most often mounted in the handle), and the other end should be placed on the hand or attached to the helmsman s clothing with a carabiner.
